Roksanda RTW Spring 2015

There was a hard, sculptural edge to much of Roksanda Ilincic’s spring lineup.

There was a hard, sculptural edge to much of Roksanda Ilincic’s spring lineup. A calf-length dress with a plunging neckline came in synthetically bright orange, with extravagant folds of material at the bodice revealing a sky-blue color underneath. A black top was crafted with a rigid pink ruffle that wound from the neck to the bodice.

Looking to the American artist Julia Dault’s work, the designer also took dresses done in a print that resembled shards of crystals and embellished them with Perspex discs.

As a foil to this directional fare, Ilincic offered a softer take on her arty approach. A sleeveless silk dress with fluid skirts was inset with colored shapes in mint, orange and blue, while a navy organza gown was embroidered in textured velvet with a scribblelike pattern.
