Fay RTW Spring 2015

Oversize sweatshirts, roomy boxing trunks and nylon anoraks and parkas had a tomboyish allure.

Young fashion folk can swing on a dime: preppy one minute, grungy the next. Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi are betting that this moving target is still enamored with noisy branding — and “Peanuts” character Lucy van Pelt’s crabby face — splashed on athletic-inspired streetwear.

Oversize sweatshirts, roomy boxing trunks and nylon anoraks and parkas had a tomboyish allure. Aquilano and Rimondi luxed up these sporty shapes with sequins, intricate quilting, leather trim and rows of ruffles.

But the fussy approach, coupled with loads of logo taping spelling out Fay Time, just didn’t gel.
