PLENTY OF TIME: With only 40 minutes to spare before she was due at a downtown shoot with Sebastian Kim, Jessica Hart ducked into Wednesday's J. Mendel show. The model wasn't about to name the designer she would be doing a portrait with but she would say what makes a good photo. "It's making a connection with the photographer through conversation whether that's finding some sort of common ground between the two of you or it could be anything. It could be that the photographer is full of himself. It could be an intense situation. For anyone who steps in front of a camera, it's not easy. It's not easy for anyone."
Indie actress Melonie Diaz was also in the front row, having recently shot an episode of Lena Dunham's "Girls" and left inspired. "It was exciting to work for someone who is 27 and has total control of a show, the look, the cast — it makes me want to be an entrepreneur or create something."
As to what that might be, she said, "I don't know yet. I'll figure it out. I have time."
