GREENHOUSE EFFECT: With summerlike weather in Milan, guests at the Fendi show on Thursday struggled to keep on their jackets — not to mention layering on fur. Juno Temple carried her orange bouclé wool coat on her arm. “It’s hotter in Milan than I was expecting, especially coming from England,” she exclaimed.

The British actress is about to start filming opposite Carey Mulligan in Thomas Vinterberg’s adaptation of Thomas Hardy’s “Far From the Madding Crowd.” “I think he really writes women beautifully, Thomas Hardy — you know, really powerful women. And especially for that time when he was writing, it’s so wonderful,” Temple mused.

Other guests included Fiona Scarry, Ornella Muti, Tallulah Harlech and Marisa Berenson, who came with her daughter Starlite.

Having launched a signature line of cosmetics in Sofitel hotels in Morocco, Berenson is preparing to expand distribution to all of the hotel chain’s spas worldwide. She is also working with publishing house Rizzoli on a book of health and beauty tips, due for 2015. “It’s about beauty, both inside and out,” she said.

Later in the day, Fendi hosted a cocktail for its “Making Dreams: Fendi and the Cinema” exhibition, marking its continued relationship with Cinecittà and Hollywood.

“This exhibition allows visitors to learn the unknown and secret story of a group of visionary women,” said Silvia Venturini Fendi.

Curated by Patrick Kinmonth and Antonio Monfreda and unveiled the same day as Fendi’s show and the opening of its new store in Via Montenapoleone, the exhibit drew Catherine Deneuve, who enthused about Fendi’s “family story — it’s incredible, there are not many families with such incredible background. I’ve worn Fendi furs for a long time, and I’ve known Carla [Fendi] for 30 years. The quality of their work is incredible.”

The actress is currently shooting “Trois coeurs” [Three hearts], a film by Benoît Jacquot, playing the mother of her real daughter Chiara Mastroianni, and of Charlotte Gainsbourg.
