Front Row at Elie Saab

Chantal Thomass was among the show’s attendees.

SHORT AND SWEET: Chantal Thomass is increasingly into Bordeaux — the drink, rather than the color. The French lingerie designer, known for her creative collaborations, will design the label for a renowned Bordeaux wine, though she would not reveal which one. “The collaboration will be unveiled to the press in April,” she said, sitting front row at the Elie Saab show on Monday. Thomass added that the project is very close to her heart — “like fashion, wine is part of the French tradition, and this Bordeaux is very special.”

Alexandra Richardson, Angie Harmon and Xing Tong Yao were also among the attendees.

Later, Saab hosted a cocktail party for clients, and American television personality Steve Harvey, who had attended the show with his wife Marjorie, marveled at the extravagance, and brevity, of the spectacle.

“You can't spend that kind of money in Hollywood for 20 minutes without going out of business. I looked around and there was no sponsorship anywhere,” he said.
