LONG SHOT: Fendi has new bragging rights: The longest runway in Milan. That’s how new Fendi chief executive Pietro Beccari bills its new Milan base at the Fondazione Pomodoro, which will house its runway theater, showrooms and press office. “It’s a very cool neighborhood here,” Beccari enthused in the spacious backstage area, as photographers coagulated around Karl Lagerfeld. He said the sprawling space would be employed for Fendi’s men’s collection, art exhibitions and events during key moments like the Salone del Mobile.
