COVER STORY: Designs by Rei Kawakubo might be coming to an Apple store near you. The fashion maverick behind Comme des Garçons has created a range of covers for iPads and Macbooks in collaboration with Paper Rain. “Rei’s done the prints. They’re coming out in November,” Adrian Joffe, chief executive officer of Comme des Garçons International, revealed at the Damir Doma show. Paper Rain is the parent of Doma and Côte&Ciel, a specialized maker of bags and pouches for devices.
Joffe said the fabric sleeves would launch first in Comme des Garçons stores before a broader rollout.
