At the end of a front row bench at Alexander Wang’s runway show Saturday at Pier 94 — past the scowling South African conceptual artisit-cum-rapper Ninja and his petite partner Yolandi, who sported a ski mask bandana and black contact lenses, and past A$AP Rocky, buzziest New York hip hop star in recent memory, who sported braids and gold fronts — Justin Theroux sat at the center of fashion week's biggest front row media scrum thus far, wearing nothing more outré than a black leather jacket.
“Alex,” was all the actor/screenwriter/director, who was at a semi-public event for the first time since his engagement to Jennifer Aniston, answered when asked what had brought him out. He proceeded to brush off questions with as polite a raised hand as seemingly possible. Theroux is slated to direct a “Zoolander” sequel in some not too distant future. His attendance surely provided some reconnaissance.
