PLANTING A NEW SEED: In the audience at the Aganovich show in Paris on Tuesday was Hong Kong-based investor Jimmy Chan, who revealed he acquired the firm in May. Chan, who also owns Rue du Mail, said he was sorting through the brand’s finances and retailer relationships to prepare it for future expansion. “I am taking care of the business side so Nana can focus on the creative aspect,” he said, referring to the label’s Serbian-born creative director Nana Aganovich, who founded the label with her partner Brooke Taylor and has been showing in Paris since 2009.
