Front Row at Rag & Bone

Karolina Kurkova, Albert Hammond Jr., and Mary J. Blige all attened the show.

“I took the subway,” Karolina Kurkova said at Rag & Bone’s spring 2012 show on the Westside Highway on Friday. The model wagged a finger as if to shame those who were chauffeured. “I took the subway and I walked,” she went on. “But I think everyone’s going to be so late — there were no taxis anywhere.”

Albert Hammond Jr. apparently had no trouble. He sat patiently before the show began, nodding hello to a passing Dwyane Wade, dapper in a pin-striped vest and seated in the front row. “I heard Kelly Slater is coming,” The Strokes guitarist said. Poppy Delevigne fanned herself aggressively nearby, while Malin Akerman snuck through in a white Rag & Bone shift. “Oh, my god, it is Rag & Bone,” Akerman said in a faux falsetto, straining to see a friend in the very ambient light. “Everyone’s just in silhouette…I can’t tell who anybody is.”

The very dark lighting scheme made Carmelo Anthony and Lala Vasquez all the more visible when they entered with their camera crew in tow.

Mary J. Blige was also sitting front row, though the singer hurried in and out to avoid press while the lights were down.
