Front Row at Marchesa

Emma Roberts, Camilla Belle and Bar Refaeli attended the show.

The front row at Marchesa was exactly as lithe, blonde, tanned and Hollywood as one might expect, considering the label’s knack for red-carpet gowns and film executive Harvey Weinstein’s support. Weinstein himself prowled the Palm Court at the Plaza, stopping to greet Bar Rafaeli, Molly Sims, Michelle Monaghan and Mandy Moore and wildly applauding his wife, co-designer Georgina Chapman, when she took her final bow with Keren Craig.

Before the show, Michelle Trachtenberg chatted up Emma Roberts by a mirrored panel in the corner of the heavily gilt space, and later managed to make the seemingly impossible-to-ruffle Weinstein uncomfortable. “What did I say?” Trachtenberg queried, alarmed at the retreating Weinstein. “What? What is it?” The producer laughed, shook his head and made way for a late arriving Sims.

“I’m excited to see some beautiful dresses,” Sims said, smiling.

Camilla Belle wore knee-high boots made of perforated leather under a cloud of black wispy Marchesa tulle, with long sleeves and her hair in complicated Heidi-style braids.

“I’m a risktaker, I guess,” Belle shrugged. “I mean, why be boring, right? It’s fashion week, this is the time to have fun.”
