Front Row at Louis Vuitton Spring 2012

Uma Thurman, Nicole Richie, Joel Madden, Abbie Cornish and Olivia Wilde sat front row at the spring show.

RISE AND SHINE: It was a family affair for the A-list crowd that gathered for the Louis Vuitton show in the courtyard of the Louvre museum Wednesday. Olivia Wilde, Rachel Zoe, Chen Ran, Poppy Delevigne and Claire and Virginie Courtin-Clarins were among the early birds attending the 10 a.m. display. Abbie Cornish brought her brother Hayden, who was visiting Paris from Australia. The actress is working on a documentary about the making of “The Girl,” the film she recently shot in locations including Oaxaca, Mexico — despite ongoing political instability in the region. “I actually had a bodyguard whose name was Edgar, who’s the loveliest guy in the world,” she said. “He became more like a brother to me than anything else.”

Nicole Richie, with husband Joel Madden in tow, was enjoying a European family vacation. Richie is working on her third novel and recently joined the cast of NBC reality show “Fashion Star.” “I am mentoring 14 designers and guiding them through getting into three different retailers: Saks, Macy’s and H&M. It’s very exciting and I got to work with John Varvatos, who’s great,” she said.

Former Vuitton campaign star Uma Thurman made a glamorous entrance with her partner Arpad Busson, despite attending Carine Roitfeld’s raucous costume party the night before. “You don’t stay ‘til the end — number one advice to the ladies!” she confided with a smile.
