Neither the subtropical humidity of Chelsea’s Center 548, nor her previous evening on the town as a Fashion’s Night Out ambassador, had the interminably perky Lea Michele down at Jason Wu’s Friday afternoon show.
“I was out pretty late, not too bad, like midnight or something. I woke up this morning and was like, ‘Let’s go. Let’s get back into it.”
It seemed as if she’d be able to survive a fashion week pretty easily.
“Absolutely,” she said. “[With] my ‘Glee’ schedule I feel like I could survive…let’s just say when I have a kid, I think I’m going to be OK.”
Other courtside front-row attendees included China Chow, Harley Viera-Newtown and Jaime King. Talk with King turned, naturally, to her recent New York Times magazine cover, which paired a Nan Goldin candid runway shot of the model-turned-actress taken in 1996 and one from King’s backyard this year.
“I knew it was going to be a profound experience because I hadn’t seen Nan in 15 years. That was really amazing to be with her again and to look back on your life at a time when you’re almost a totally different person.”
