FRONT AND BACK: Veteran model Marpessa will be taking in Milan shows from the front row this season. “I’m writing fashion diaries for Amica magazine,” she said at the Alberta Ferretti show. Though she has worked with the designer since the Eighties, her favorite moment was walking Ferretti’s show at Pitti Immagine Uomo in January, alongside the likes of Marisa Berenson and Paz de la Huerta. “I had a gown that was amazing,” Marpessa recalled.
Valeria Mazza was in town to promote a joint campaign between UNICEF and Procter & Gamble to eliminate maternal and newborn tetanus. “We’re going to Tanzania next week,” said the Argentine model. A few seats away, popular Italian crooner Biagio Antonacci was returning a courtesy, as Ferretti attended his concert at Rome’s Colosseum this summer. “I do feel it’s not my world here, but Alberta invited me and it’s women’s wear, so it’s fun,” said Antonacci.
