Elegant and luxurious were the key beauty words at Ralph Lauren.
“This is still a Ralph Lauren fresh face, but there is more makeup — almost like a painting,” said Tom Pecheux, who created the makeup looks at the show. Pecheux started with matte foundation, applied to create a perfect canvas. Next, he brushed eyebrows and added black mascara to the top eyelashes only. Next, Pecheux swept a matte white eye shadow from eyelid to brow bone. On the cheeks, Pecheux applied apricot blush over the apples of the cheeks, adding a touch of pink in the center to create dimensionality. “If you do it with one shade, it can be flat,” he said. “This makes the girls look like they have the perfect English-rose cheek.” He finished with a sweep of gold lip gloss on the lips.
Guido Palau, working with Redken at the show, chose a polished ponytail to complement the look. “It feels effortless, not forced — Ralph wanted classic, easy sophistication,” said Palau. He began by applying Redken’s Guts 10 Volume Spray Foam, blowing hair out with a large-barreled brush for a sleek finish. Next, he finger-combed the hair back into a ponytail, gathering it with an elastic at the middle of the back of the head and pulling a section out to hide the elastic. He finished the style with a light spritz of Redken’s Forceful 23 Super Shine Finishing Spray for hold and shine.
Elisa Ferri polished fingers and toes with Zoya’s Erin, a nude shade with a hint of shimmer.
