"Minimalism and modernism is in the DNA of Jil Sander, so hair is very sculptural," said hairstylist Guido Palau for Redken, citing mid-century modern architecture and design as the blueprint for sculptured, helmeted hairstyles.
Redken Rootful 06 Root Lifting Spray was and hair was blown away from the face. A small braid was created in the back and attached to a ponytail and a soft roller was slipped-in and pinned into place.
Generous layers of Redken Forceful 23 Hairspray added a lacquered shine.
"Controlled beauty” is how makeup artist Peter Philips described the look. He applied Chanel Perfection Lumière Long-Wear Flawless Fluid.
Eyes were defined with a small touch of Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner in Ebene #10 and Chanel’s Inimitable Intense Mascara in black.
On lips, there was just a touch of foundation to make it blend with the skin tone.
