PARIS — Models down the Alexander McQueen catwalk sported lace hood-like masks, similar to those shown at the recent retrospective of the designer at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
“The idea seemed quite extreme, but it’s actually very pretty,” said hairstylist Guido Palau, who created a swirl of braids on models’ heads tucked under the hoods.
Part of their noses and mouths peaked out, and for that makeup artist Peter Philips created a nude face with “very alabaster” skin.
