Back in Hazard County, Daisy Duke would be proud as Jessica Simpson launched a line of jeans priced $49 to $69 at retail, adding to a very healthy list of fashion categories that were on full display Tuesday night. Simpson styled a gaggle of her “besties,” who hammed it up on the catwalk to prove that her designs “embrace every shape, size and personality,” as the designer put it. The denim offering ranged from dark jeggings to worn-in vintage flares paired with sporty pieces that included a camo jacket, sweet pleated denim dress and leopard shoes that mixed Simpson’s Southern charm with a hint of city edge. Mom and sister Ashlee were there in support along with brother-in-law and Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, who provided the music for the girls to rock the casbah.
