Anderson Cooper and Nicky Hilton are probably seldom on the same guest list, but such is the world of Diane von Furstenberg. On Sunday night, the designer’s eclectic group of friends and family — Fran Lebowitz, Carolina Herrera Baez, Rachel Bilson, Elisa Sednaoui, Chiara Clemente, Tamara Mellon, Matthew Mellon and Nicole Hanley, Olivier Zahm, Natalia Vodianova — gathered at her studio for her semi-annual dinner party.
Unlike other fashion week events, von Furstenberg’s affair doesn’t have a red carpet, a VIP area, or surprise performance. Everyone eats dinner (Indochine, always) and lingers long after dessert. During a week that involves so many surprises, sometimes it’s nice to know where the next meal is coming from.
