Xu Qing is going from leading lady to First Lady.
At the Max Mara show, the Chinese actress said she will reprise her role as Soong Ching-ling, the revolutionary known as “the Mother of China,” in a sequel to the 2009 epic “The Founding of a Republic.”
Director Han Sanping, who helmed the original, will also direct “The Founding of a Party,” scheduled for release in 2011.
