Talk PR, a division of the ad agency M&C Saatchi, has launched Talk Future to support young designers with public relations and marketing muscle.

TALK THE TALK: While many a London PR agency has built its reputation on offering its services to edgy young designers at free or discounted rates, one is making its support for young designers official.

 

Talk PR, a division of the ad agency M&C Saatchi, has launched Talk Future to support young designers with public relations and marketing muscle. Holly Fulton, Michael van der Ham, and Louise Gray, who are all showing at London Fashion Week, are the first designers to be chosen by Talk.

 

Tanya Hughes, business development director at the PR firm, said the division is designed to “nurture exceptional new creative talent in fashion and beauty. The designers are at the stage where they need more help and we are in a position to give it.”


London PR Mandi Lennard – who has championed London’s young talent throughout her career - will advise on the venture as part of her role as creative consultant at Talk. Hughes said that Van der Ham and Gray are signed to Talk Future for an initial period of one year and Fulton for two, and that the designers would “hopefully,” go on to become clients of Talk PR’s main division.

 

Hughes added there is potential for the designers to collaborate with Talk’s existing clients, which include P&G Beauty, P&G Prestige Products, and Swarovski Crystallized.
