LAW AND ORDER: “That was crazy, wasn’t it?” George Clooney said before the Giorgio Armani show on Monday. Clooney, accompanied by his girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis, was recalling the crush of spectators and paparazzi drawn to a Milan courtroom last July, when the actor testified in the trial of three defendants accused of fraudulently using his name to launch a signature women’s and men’s clothing line. “I’m anxious to win. This is a criminal trial, not a lawsuit,” said Clooney. “I’m tired of the advantage that can be taken out of this.” The actor, who has played the lawyer “a lot,” clearly has a grasp on the subject matter. “The first rule of the courtroom is don’t ask a question if you don’t know the answer,” he noted, referring to the defense attorneys’ interrogations. “They were probably hoping I wouldn’t show up.” Megan Fox, Brian Austin Green and Aishwarya Rai also took in the show.
