Douglas Song, chairman of Prodos Capital Management, the American merchant bank that, together with Samsung, has won the bid to acquire the Gianfranco Ferré brand, took in the label’s show. Song gamely posed for photos with Ferré’s administrators, but stopped short of discussing future strategies until Italy’s Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi formally signs the paperwork that will seal the deal—expected in about a fortnight.
