Front Row at Lanvin

On the front row at Lanvin were Jade Jagger, Clotilde Courau, Maggie Cheung and Janet Jackson.

COCKTAIL HOUR: Sipping on a cocktail on the bustling runway before lights down at Lanvin on Friday, French singer Patricia Kass said she’s currently on her “Kabaret” tour, for which Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz designed the costumes. Meanwhile, frosty actress Kristen Scott Thomas is currently working on a thriller, “Une Femme Parfaite” (“Perfect Woman”). “I play a wicked woman, which is great because I thoroughly enjoy being wicked,” she said, as the likes of Jade Jagger, Clotilde Courau, Maggie Cheung and Janet filed in. Leading his partner Charlotte Stockdale to their seats, designer Marc Newson said that, aside from plans to design more pieces for Boucheron, he’s designing a boat for an undisclosed luxury house. “It will be small, like a speedboat,” said Newson. Catching up with Elbaz backstage, meanwhile, Jackson, who said she’s working on a book and an album. “I’m here to take a break,” said the timorous singer before shimmying off to face the cameras.
