Max Azria drew his usual crew of loyal supporters to his Sunday afternoon Hervé Léger by Max Azria show. Socials like Claire Bernard, Lauren Remington Platt and Zani Gugelmann along with actress Hilary Duff gamely donned his evening-ready bandeau dresses well before sundown. Amanda Bynes even went the head-to-toe route. “I love these,” she said of her chain-covered Hervé Léger footwear. “I didn’t even know they made shoes.”

Bynes had plans to attend the Video Music Awards later that night, but had yet to choose an outfit.

A few seats down, Mischa Barton, star of the CW’s upcoming “The Beautiful Life,” shrugged off suggestions that her attendance was research for the show, in which she stars as a supermodel. “It’s all good publicity,” she said, revealing Azria will appear in an upcoming episode. And playing a mannequin on TV hasn’t changed her perspective on the runway show scene.

“I’ve always been friends with a lot of fashion people and models,” said Barton. “I don’t think they get enough credit for being such cool, rad people.”
