Outgoing Puig Fashion Group president Mario Grauso caught the Carolina Herrera show from the front row Monday, but he wasn’t letting on where he is headed jobwise other than to say he is talking with a number of people. The presence of Patrick Guadagno, president and chief operating officer of Versace North America, didn’t go unnoticed, either, but he said he was merely there as an invited guest. Asked if he is changing jobs, Guadagno said repeatedly that he still has his current one.
Meanwhile, the usual mob of front-row photographers was joined by a famous face: Fisher Stevens. The actor and director is making a documentary on the CFDA’s Steven Kolb. “It’s my first time shooting fashion shows. I like the perspective from behind the camera,” said Fisher. “I just finished a documentary about dolphin slaughter called ‘The Cove,’ so this is a far cry. It’s the absolute opposite — I needed a little diversion.”
Also in the audience was Emmy Rossum, at her first Herrera show. “I love her New York sensibility,” said the actress, who was wearing a cocktail frock from the line. “It was hard to put on 6-inch heels this early in the morning, but now I feel great. I want to grow up to be Carolina.”
