Maria Cornejo celebrated her 10th anniversary with looks that reflected her core concepts — geometry, volume over sinuous curves and a “jangling mix of patterns and textures.” These were articulated in concave coats and cocoon shrugs as well as spiral skirts and perfectly executed jumpsuits. Cornejo layers with a light hand, playing with plaids and assorted-sized dots on ponchos and waistcoats over bubble skirts. And, among the designer’s easy dresses — side-draped, curve-front or spiral — the color-blocked versions were knockouts.
