Moschino RTW Spring 2009
Between the gigantic bow tie, Sixties-ish topper and bejeweled cateye sunglasses, the first look out was black and white and Moschino all over. That’s not necessarily a bad thing considering Rossella Jardini’s vast collection was – oversized bows and some seriously wayward rosettes aside – full of commercially viable versions of standard house fare. She tempered frou — shifts and gauzy dresses romanced with loads of ruffles – with more tailored pieces, such as well-cut trapeze jackets and a few languid trenches. The palette, chalky mauves in particular, were off and things were redundant by show’s end. But the retailers packed in the front row will have plenty to choose from.
