Sometimes, a girl just wants to dress polished and pretty — it’s as simple as that. And come spring, she’ll have plenty to pull from Brian Reyes’ lineup. It was effortless — loose dolman tops paired with crepe pants, a lovely embroidered moiré summer sheath, a petal-sleeve bolero worn with a pouf skirt. More casual yet no less sophisticated options included one terrific cotton suiting T-shirt dress. And, although the designer named flatlands and Ethiopia as the collection’s inspiration — as seen in abstract zebra prints and ethnic metallic embroideries — it, thankfully, never became a thematic overload.
