Hairstylist Malcolm Edwards described the Sinha-Stanic woman as “a bully who gets good grades.”
Working with L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni.art, he channeled that rebellious nature through a wet-look skew-whiff coif. To give the look a damp appearance, Edwards worked Liss Control + and Liss Control gel cream into damp hair, which was parted to one side.
Hair from the top half of the head was draped low over the forehead and secured with a metal comb. Hair from the lower section of the head was tied into a ponytail, which was worked into a disheveled rope shape.
Sharon Dowsett, who was backstage with MAC Cosmetics, also had an insubordinate teen in mind when dreaming up the makeup look.
“She doesn’t take her mascara off, she just puts more mascara on in the morning,” she said of her imaginary muse. “It’s all about pubescent bloom.”
To achieve the look, she used MAC Strobe Cream to create freshness followed by MAC Studio Sculpt foundation. She traced eyelids with Technakohl Liner in Graphblack and Fluidline in Blacktrack, and applied Cream Color Base in Air Force Blue on lids with her fingers. She used Pro Lash mascara on upper lashes and coated eyebrows, which she brushed upward, with Brow Finisher.
She finished the look with a little powder on the T-zone and lip balm on pouts.
