Healthy Outdoor Glow at Farhi
“It’s all about a blush,” said makeup artist Val Garland, who was working with MAC Cosmetics. “It’s quite American, healthy and Ralph Lauren.”
To create the look, Garland prepped skin with MAC Studio Sculpt foundation, which is being tried out backstage, and combined Skin Correctors in Deep Coral, Terracotta and Caramel to give cheeks a healthy glow. Chromoline was patted into pouts first in Rich Purple and followed by Basic Red to create a shade Garland dubbed “bruised geranium.”
Eyebrows were brushed up and lashes coated with a smidge of mascara.
Sam McKnight, working with Pantene, created a tumbling, textured coif for the show.
“It’s a modern, romantic, tumbling-down chignon,” he said. “It’s light and airy.”
McKnight braided sections of hair, which he pressed using straightening irons and then unraveled to give texture. Creating some volume at the crown, he pulled hair gently back into a looped ponytail at the nape of the neck. McKnight used Pantene hair spray throughout the process to create light hold and volume.
