Clean and Simple at Marc by Marc
Along with the hats and headbands at Marc by Marc Jacobs Tuesday afternoon went textured ponytails created by hairstylist Guido Palau.
He first “rough dried” the hair using his hands (not a brush) and a hair dryer, then topped off the look with a spritz of Redken Fabricate, a texturizing spray, which gave plenty of volume to the flowing ponytails.
The color look at Marc by Marc Jacobs was no-makeup makeup. As Dick Page described the concept behind the makeup look he did: “The whole idea is that you wouldn’t even know they’ve been touched.
“The clothes got supercolorful again,” he said of the fashion, “very young and vivid. So it’s just a natural, pretty [look] — nothing going on with the face, just keeping it simple and very clean.”
Page did acknowledge, however, a soft mauve hue that was applied to the lips, saying: “You want to still feel like there’s a person under there.”
