spring-ready-to-wear 2009
Bottega Veneta Collection
September 24, 2008
'Love and Death' at Bottega Veneta
For the hair, Orlando Pita did a low, twisted bun and fastened it with a piece of oval leather threaded with a silver rod.
A center-part — and curly tendrils on either side of the face — completed the look.
“It’s all about the shape, softness and silhouette of the hair,” said Pita.
To match the striking updo, makeup artist Pat McGrath created an understated smoky eye that had a base of brown powder, which was blended with copper and bronze shimmer. Beige eyeliner was added inside the eyes to frame the look, while a matte beige lipstick toned down models’ natural lip color.
“The eyes are very pronounced — it’s a polished look for spring,” said McGrath.
