ALL THAT GLITTERS: True to the designer’s status as a red carpet favorite, the Elie Saab show Wednesday attracted a slew of bright young acting talent including Marie-Josée Croze, Clotilde Courau, Paz Vega, Olga Kurylenko, Audrey Marnay, Anne Marivin and Déborah François.
With no less than four movies recently wrapped up as well as a stint at the Théâtre de la Madeleine in Paris just completed, Canadian Croze is taking a well-deserved vacation.
“I’ve worked so much that it’s good to take some time off,” she said, reeling off a list of recent projects including Mathieu de la Porte’s “Un Illustre Inconnu,” in which she stars with Mathieu Kassovitz; Denys Arcand’s “Deux Nuits” with Mélanie Thierry; John Michael McDonagh’s “Calvary” with Brendan Gleeson, and Wim Wenders’ “Everything will be Fine,” in which she stars with James Franco and Charlotte Gainsbourg.
Déborah François, meanwhile, said she just finished shooting Léa Fazer’s “Maestro” with Pio Marmaï and is possibly set to work on a rare thing — a French spy movie. “Sure, there are not a lot of them, and there are even less with female roles,” she added.
The actress also has a fashion project up her sleeve, but was keeping mum on the details.
“I’ll tell you more in September,” she said.
