Front Row at Armani Privé

Sophie Marceau, Zhang Ziyi and Kristin Scott Thomas took in the Italian designer’s exhibition and dinner.

ALL NIGHT LONG: Giorgio Armani pulled out quite a crowd for his One Night Only event in Paris, which featured a cocktail, a couture show, an exhibition and a dinner.

Guests including Sophie Marceau and Christopher Lambert, Zhang Ziyi, Kristin Scott Thomas, Chiara Mastroianni and Alice Taglioni turned out for the event, held at the Palais de Tokyo, which hosted a sprawling exhibition of the Italian designer’s creations titled “Eccentrico.”

Ziyi is in the midst of filming John Woo’s romantic epic “The Crossing,” a historic drama inspired by the 1949 sinking of a steamer carrying refugees fleeing Communist China during the Chinese Civil War. “We just moved from Taiwan to Beijing,” she said.

Arriving just as the dinner was starting, Isabelle Huppert apologized to Armani for missing the show, explaining that she was performing on stage in “Les fausses confidences” at the Odéon – Théâtre de l’Europe.

Also in attendance was Claudia Cardinale, who said she now has 137 films under her belt, including the upcoming “The Silent Mountain,” an Austrian production set during World War One that stars British actor William Moseley. “What’s incredible is that I’m 75 and still working,” said the perennially smiling screen legend.

Lambert will be seen next in “Electric Slide,” with an ensemble cast including Chloë Sevigny, Patricia Arquette, Isabel Lucas and Jim Sturgess. “My character is a kind of mafia guy who has a lot of fun. He’s totally nuts, but very happy to be that way,” he said.

Paloma Faith, due to release her new album “A Perfect Contradiction” on March 10, had switched her trademark red hair for an unusually sedate blonde. “I went on holiday and I got a suntan, and I thought it would be ridiculous to have orange hair and orange skin, so I’m waiting for the tan to fade before I go back,” she explained.
