GARDEN PARTY: So many bold-faced names turned out for the Dior Haute Couture show in Paris that it felt at times like an awards ceremony. Guests included Laetitia Casta; Carole Bouquet; Marisa Berenson; Zhang Ziyi; rapper A$AP Rocky; Pierre Bergé; Peter Marino; Charlene Wittstock, the princess of Monaco; former French First Lady Bernadette Chirac, and Valérie Trierweiler, the partner of French president François Hollande.

Sigourney Weaver revealed that Dior creative director Raf Simons would be dressing her and her front-row neighbor, Isabelle Huppert, in “Body Art,” Italian director Luca Guadagnino’s next film. “Isabelle plays a body artist. I play a journalist like you, so I’m studying you. What are you wearing?” she enquired.

Jessica Alba was among those relieved to be in from the cold and snow in the Tuileries gardens, where the show took place inside a mirrored box containing a lush garden set. “I love being warm and surrounded by so much greenery,” she enthused. Alba is heading straight from Paris to Park City, Utah, to present the comedy “A.C.O.D.” at the Sundance Film Festival (the acronym stands for “Adult Children of Divorcees”). After that, she has a final day of shooting in Austin, Tex., on “Sin City II: A Dame to Kill For.”

Rosamund Pike marveled at the short-lived destiny of the lavish decor. “That’s what I think is so great about fashion: When people have the budget and the imagination to really create a set that’s just ephemeral and just for one day. It’s insane and it doesn’t happen in any other industry,” she said. The British actress is writing her first script, adapted from a novel, and expressed a growing interest in animation and fairy tales. “That’s the next thing I’d love to be asked to do — the voice of a character, something that my son could watch,” she said.

Chloë Grace Moretz has a slew of projects in the pipeline, including a remake of the 1976 horror classic “Carrie.”

Casta revealed her next movie, “Génération Mitterrand,” will be set during the reign of former French president François Mitterrand in the Eighties. “I play a young student who ends up in the Elysée [presidential palace] working with Mitterrand. It’s kind of a real-life story,” she said.

Bouquet will be taking to the theater stage as Medea and will be heading to India next winter to shoot with Afghan-French director Atiq Rahimi. “It’s going to be a psychological thriller about a two-faced French woman,” she explained.

British actress Ruth Wilson is preparing to film the third and final season of the TV series “Luther,” before heading to the U.S. to shoot “A Walk Among the Tombstones” opposite Liam Neeson. Wilson has two Hollywood productions set for release in 2013: “Saving Mr. Banks,” with Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson, and “The Lone Ranger.”

The latter required plenty of stunt action. “Falling off trains and things like that — so it’s not that you have to be that fit for it, necessarily,” she said. “You have to be fearless, I suppose, to do it, and a bit stupid, so that’s why I enjoyed it,” she said. At least Wilson doesn’t have to panic about slipping in the snow: “I can fall and roll at the same time — do a little combat roll.”
