Front Row at Jean Paul Gaultier Couture

Inès de la Fressange, Karine Silla, Vincent Perez, Melissa Mars and Farida Khelfa packed the front row at Jean Paul Gaultier's Couture show.

Vincent Perez was back at Jean Paul Gaultier for the second time in a week. But this time, he was sitting front row at couture rather than hiding backstage. During the men’s show, Perez shot a behind-the-scenes reportage for Paris Match magazine. Next fall, Perez will direct his third feature film (based on the World War II-era book “Alone in Berlin”) and shoot in German. “My mother is German, as you can tell from the name,” he laughed. Antoine de Caunes, who used to copresent cult television show “Eurotrash” with Gaultier, said he was recently reunited with the couturier for a documentary about actress Josiane Balasko, which he is directing for France 5 TV station. French singer Melissa Mars, clutching an electric blue fur, disclosed she’s working on a short film with young French furrier Quentin Veron. “We’ll screen it during his next show in March, which I’m also going to model in,” she said. Mars was also sporting a quirky backbone-inspired metal necklace that she designed with Leka.
