Anne Valérie Hash Couture Spring 2009
As an independent house with no reserves, Anne Valerie Hash said the economic crisis has pushed her to redefine her brand’s raison d’être. To wit, Hash built her calm and collected, black-and-white couture collection on the label’s classic bestsellers: the tuxedo and the wedding dress. A divine beaded ivory bustier gown with a train crafted from more than 1,000 lace panels was among the 10 capsule looks unveiled in the windows of France’s Ministry of Culture in the Palais Royal on Wednesday. Hash’s pantsuits also boasted delightful feminine touches, from jet-beaded lapels to Victorian passementerie edging the arms of certain jackets.
