Since relocating to Los Angeles from New York earlier this year, Lorena Sarbu has found a sharper focus for her four-year-old eveningwear line. Staying true to her love of color and body-conscious shapes, Sarbu’s third resort collection offered something for every red-carpet occasion, from bright lace minidresses to a blush tulle mermaid gown. The pieces that worked best featured simple lines with strategically placed peekaboo lace panels, but Sarbu also showed confidence with edgy looks like a black jacket and cocktail dress with gold bugle-bead embroidery and fringe.
