Brazil is a fashion hot spot and Frida Giannini knows it. The designer channeled a young, colorful Rio de Janeiro for resort at Gucci, which she described as “a collection of all my getaway essentials, designed for an up-and-coming Jerry Hall beaming with breezy style.”
Glamour met a playful sensuality in the fluid, relaxed silhouettes — a silk crepe de chine maxidress was printed with hearts, and a polka dot chiffon and Lurex halter dress was embellished with a front knot. Giannini also experimented with classic beach iconography, pepping up a pair of high-waisted silk crepe de chine pants with a fun parasol print, a motif that also decorated a silk twill halterneck dress cinched tight at the waist with a leather belt in Gucci’s iconic two-striped web pattern.
