For his debut collection for Diesel Black Gold, Calvin Klein and Phi alum Andreas Melbostad was inspired by the American biker. The result was a lineup of hard-edged wares that speak to the brand’s history, yet injected with a fresh perspective. Leather was a key component, worked on strong-shouldered biker jackets and as the sleeves on an oversize waxed cotton parka, while skinny denim looks were coated to resemble leather. The lot was softened with banded-collar silk blouses and flame-pattern dresses.
