Gieves & Hawkes Men's RTW Spring 2015

Creative director Jason Basmajian ramped up the sportswear and accessories components of the spring/summer collection.

Gieves & Hawkes, located at No. 1 Savile Row, is continuing down the road from “navy blue suit company to lifestyle brand,” according to creative director Jason Basmajian, who ramped up the sportswear and accessories components of the spring collection. “We’re loosening it up,” he said, pointing to models on plinths lining the perimeter of the White Cube gallery. They were wearing trim macs, sturdy summer parkas, linen sailor sweaters, suede espadrilles and mirrored sunglasses. Suits came in crisp summer tweeds or textured linen, and were softened with knits or tonal shirts and ties.

Whether for boardroom or boardwalk, the looks were unified by a seaside palette and subtle mixtures of texture and color.
