BIRTHDAY BOY: Radiohead bass player Colin Greenwood, who performed live at Dries Van Noten’s last men’s show, took a front-row seat at the designer’s one on Thursday. It turns out it was the English musician’s birthday, so he also treated himself to the Bill Viola exhibition upstairs from Van Noten’s basement venue at the Grand Palais.

While acknowledging that rock ’n’ roll is “so much about T-shirts and jeans,” he said he prefers “sartorial things,” despite fitting somewhere between the European sizes 46 and 48.

He mused that musicians, like fashion designers, have to stay ahead of the curve and be “seductive yet challenging.”
