UNITED NATIONS: Reflected in a mirrored maze set, the VIPs at Saturday’s Dior Homme show in Paris made for a cosmopolitan group portrait.
A gaggle of French actors — including Gad Elmaleh, Roschdy Zem, Nicolas Duvauchelle, Adèle Exarchopoulos and Jérémie Laheurte — joined guests such as Karl Lagerfeld, Marisa Berenson, perfumer Ben Gorham and Canadian musician Alex Fleming, aka Black Atlass.
Zachary Quinto was enjoying some time off after the heavy promotional schedule for “Star Trek Into Darkness,” in which he plays Spock. “I haven’t been here in a couple of years, so it’s nice to be back,” he said of the French capital, adding that his plans included “hanging out, seeing friends, probably hitting a museum or two.”
Quinto is also busy with his production company, Before the Door, whose credits include J.C. Chandor’s “Margin Call” and “All Is Lost.” Its latest release, “Breakup at a Wedding,” just came out on VOD and iTunes.
“For me, producing is about giving opportunities to people that I’ve respected for a long time and worked with for a long time, and my opportunities can benefit them, so it makes me happy,” he explained.
Miguel-Ángel Silvestre — just back from the U.S. promotional tour for Pedro Almodóvar’s “I’m So Excited!” — said he will appear next fall as the boss of a ready-to-wear brand in the Sixties-era series “Galerías Vélvet” on Spanish TV channel Antena 3.
Having attended the Dior resort show in Monaco in May, the Spanish heartthrob is busy beefing up his fashion credentials. “I didn’t know that much about it, but I’m getting more familiar with it, and it’s a wonderful world,” Silvestre enthused.
Han Geng recently beat South Korean singer Psy to win the award for Favorite Asian Act at Nickelodeon’s 26th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards. Now he is eyeing Hollywood. Through an improvised interpreter, the Chinese singer and actor said he would be announcing details of his U.S. film project next week.
