PLAYING THEIR PART: Sitting front row at Louis Vuitton’s men’s show on Thursday, “Grey’s Anatomy” star Jesse Williams said he just wrapped the Western “They Die by Dawn” and would head to New Orleans next week to start shooting “The Butler” with director Lee Daniels. Also starring Forest Whitaker, John Cusack and Oprah Winfrey, the drama follows a White House butler through eight administrations. Would Williams pick up a tray for the role? “My character is shrouded in mystery,” he shrugged.

Marc Jacobs, in his usual attire of white shirt and black kilt, sat between Vuitton chief executive officer Yves Carcelle and Jordi Constans, who is to succeed Carcelle at the end of the year.

Raphaël Personnaz said he was tackling not one but three classics of French literature — the actor is playing Marius in Marcel Pagnol’s “Marius,” “Fanny” and “César” trilogy. Fellow actor Daniel Auteuil is both directing and playing César. Personnaz described his character as an archetype. “He is torn between the love of a woman and wanting to go far, far away,” he said. “In a way, it’s the essence of all men — a form of weakness but also heroism.”

Pio Marmaï said he would take the summer off before starring next fall in “The Neighbors,” which features French actor and director Gustave de Kervern as an aging rock star who moves into an apartment building and meets a cast of quirky neighbors. “I’m one of the neighbors,” he said.

Indefatigable disco diva Amanda Lear, meanwhile, shows no signs of tiring of her role as a former top model and fashion editor in the play “Lady Oscar.” After a one-year run at the Théâtre de la Renaissance in Paris, the play is touring Europe and North Africa until next June. “I love being on the road. We get to stay in nice hotels and have chauffeurs,” she said. “It’s like being a family.”
