OH HENRY: Among the neophytes making their catwalk debut at the agnès b. men’s wear show in Paris was actor Henry Hopper. Biting his lower lip, the 20-year-old paraded in a T-shirt printed with a black-and-white photograph taken by his father Dennis, who was a friend of designer Agnès Troublé until his death in 2010. “It was fun,” Hopper grinned afterward. “It’s a little easier than making a movie.” Hopper has been spending time in Paris since returning from the Cannes Film Festival, where he made his film debut in Gus Van Sant’s “Restless.”
Troublé tapped several other friends to walk in the finale of the show including Etienne Bourgois, president of the Tara Foundation, which runs marine expeditions, and author François Weyergans, who recently called on the designer to make the ceremonial outfit for his induction into the French Academy. Among Troublé’s upcoming projects are a fall collaboration with lingerie brand Dim and an exhibition of young French photography and drawings opening July 14 at her new Howard Street gallery and store in New York City.
