NAKED AMBITION: Paralympic athlete, model and actress Aimee Mullins was busily being congratulated at Givenchy’s men’s show Friday for having bared all for photographer Matt Jones, whose exhibition is on at Colette. “He called me and said ‘Can I take a new photo and would you do it nude?’” Mullins related. “And in an hour and a half, I’m sitting there nude in this natural light, no hair, no makeup, and I’m thinking, ‘This could be the stupidest thing I’ve ever done in my life.’ But I’m proud of myself. After telling women it has to be about confidence, I had to do it.” Next up, Mullins will collaborate again with contemporary artist Matthew Barney for a film that starts shooting in September. Meanwhile, fashion snapper Marcus Piggott disclosed he and partner Mert Alas are planning to stage an exhibition in Rome in March. “It will be personal work,” said Piggott. Jewelry designer Betony Vernon, meanwhile, said she would be directing a clip for an upcoming video by Nick Knight, dedicated to the body. “I have been allotted the neck. It’s a bit of a trip because it’s not my domain, it’s a challenge,” she said of directing. Vernon is also set to finally publish her tome “Paradise Found” this fall. Further along the row was designer Thom Browne, in Paris to witness a friends' civil union.
