THE BIG CHILL: Guests couldn’t get enough of Moncler Gamme Bleu’s set designed by Etienne Russo: An alpine battle scene littered with slain knights in armor and speared with ski poles. “It’s like a movie set, it’s so beautiful and strange,” gawked rugby player Marco Bergamasco, who was among a gaggle of Italian Olympic champions at the show. The sportsman said he has been out of action himself of late following an injury.
Tennis pro Flavia Pennetta, in a bright red down jacket, also approved. “It fits in with Italian tradition as we love telling stories,” she said. “It feels so weird for me to be in a snowy landscape, though, I’m usually in sunny places playing tennis.” Pennetta, who suffered a wrist injury in August following the London Olympics, said she plans to compete in the Indian Wells tournament in the U.S. in March.
