UNION JACK: The Louis Vuitton show in Paris on Thursday drew a sizable British contingent, there to support their fellow countryman Kim Jones, who designs men's wear for the house.

Jaime Winstone took time out from promoting her various projects, which include the television series "Mad Dogs," in which she plays a soldier. The actress shaved off her hair and underwent military training for the role. "Apparently, I was quite a natural — if you can believe that," she cackled.

Mary Charteris has been busy making sweet music with her husband, Robbie Furze of The Big Pink. "He gave me for Christmas this geeky software on a computer, and I’m just making weird noisy dance music with it," she said, adding that she will be playing with The Big Pink in Russia at the end of the month. The husband and wife are also designing a men's jewelry line with their friend, model and DJ Zara Martin, which they plan to call Furze. "It's bling for the white guy," Charteris said.

Contemporary artists Jake and Dinos Chapman were there not just as admirers, but guest members of the Vuitton design team. The duo created the opulent "Garden in Hell" pattern that appeared on the collection's silk dressing gowns and evening jackets. Dinos Chapman brushed off the furor surrounding their recent "The End of Fun" exhibition in St. Petersburg, which drew complaints from visitors who said it offended their religious beliefs. "What people think of the work is not our responsibility," he shrugged. In fact, the brothers are already working on their next show, due to open soon in Kiev. The title? "Chicken," he deadpanned. Clocking a puzzled reporter’s face, Chapman dropped his punchline: "Chicken Kiev."
