Front Row at Kris Van Assche

FASHION FOCUS: Salim Kechiouche has his eye on the fashion scene in more ways than one. Sitting front row at Kris Van Assche, the Franco-Algerian actor confided that his latest film, “Paris à Tout Prix” (or “Paris, Whatever the Cost,” in English) is the story of a Moroccan girl — played by Reem Kherici, also the movie’s director — working in the Paris couture world who gets sent back to her native village because her papers are not in order although she must deliver a dress to Paris on time. “I become the Prince Charming figure in the movie, whereas initially she was determined to marry a rich American,” Kechiouche confided. The film will be released later this year. As well as working on another movie, a play, writing his own work, perfecting his English and perhaps making his directing debut, Kechiouche revealed he would like to take a turn at modeling, too. “I would love to represent a brand like Dior,” he said.
